I think the truck on the top which i made looks much much better.
By the way... the model on the bottom had 6800tris...
the model on the top now has ~5980
I have no idea how iv managed to clear the model... it was sure pain in the ass.


I want to admit, at the end of the year, i fully now understand 80% of what we learned. First thought was... nah it will be easy. but now, i see that it is really diffucult to built the correct form model. It may be easy but, for the first time it was really hard, not knowing all the stuff and things. Hopefully now everything is cool and for summer i have my own project that i wish to conquer.

Diorama

When i first started to think what my diorama will look like, i thought, as it is JCB loadal... i wanted to construct Construction site.
This is what i had















I have been told that this is too large scene... so i was thinking of making other stuff
I changed all my texture... and the scene

This what i come up with the next time
















However... iv been said... its too big again.
So i then started to do simple thing

 Basically is just a simple scene where the JCB loadal came up with the thing (dont remember how it is called) where people stand to fix or change advert.

Simple and elegant.
Now i really hope this will be do the thing.
Still have 192tris spare.

Final Truck modeled and Textured


 After hard week of fixing my UV i have finally come up with my fully finished truck.
I Cant say it is perfect, but im still learning. It was really pain in the ass fixing my model and fixing the texture for it.

How ever you can see this is now beauty textured model

 The only problem i have faced is the JCB sign on the crane was reeeaaallly distorted.








By the way, you can see that i changed my model stance, I made this only for my Diorama scene.
However, after i made this stance for my truck, i really started to like it, i think if i will leave it as it is it wont be charged with lower mark (at least i hope so)

New Texture

After feedback got some lots of work to do.
Basically now i have
this is my new texture
I dont think its perfect but
atleast its better than nothing.

Even though  my old texture looked as... en elephant just sited on it and it became a crap shit.

So i really hope this will be better than iv made

First truck texture (fast made)

The texture day

Basicaly iv made it... started my textures

But as i started i have managed to get some baking problems.
So as its already midnight i just postponed it.

This is my UV texture
 THis is what iv got on my occlusion thing
Dont know how to fix it... so i left it for later
This is my basic color texture.
This is only the first part of texture, so i will continue to update colors and normals and diffuse when i get my occlusion working.











Update
Iv got my Occlusion to get working...
however, there are some creepy edges on the bake... I have no idea how to fix it

Update on model

Slight update on my blog

 Changed Cabin so it is now more curvy instead of boxy.
 Now we can see Curvy Cabin back window and front window
 Iv added some smoke thingy (dont remember how it is called in english)

Week 6

Alright, long time i havent published anything, so here is the final week 6 work.
There are still some parts are missing, but they are fast to fix and to do.

However, i will spend whole weekend on fixing with the Engons...
So lets go

This is my model itself
Have free to use 1000 polys, i will use it to make some missing parts.
had lots of trouble with the fork thing... but managed to model it somehow.






Front.
The front as you can see done with hard  working... as you saw i didnt had properly good photos of the front vehicle, so i had to do my model with some hard brain puzzle thingy... making a puzzle from a pictures i had.





Side
Made my side, still i need to make my cabin more curvy, remade it 2 times... i still had some faces turned black, i tried to google it... found a solution, but i couldnt get rid of it. So i would like to ask you on a lesson how to deal with it.

P.S. Dont look at the polycount
i was doing a tyre. which you can see below.



Tyre
 I tryed to make a tyre from a photo, but i dont know... its looks good, but i dont remember how to bake it... i remember some parts of baking... but cant recall all of them, so i just did the tyre and left in on a wheel.






As you can see, modeled, blended, connected with vertices, and combined.







Back
Made some lights as it was on a photo, but i didnt made little lights on it... forgot to model them O:)

Remade my frame, totally remade it, the old one had looooots of shit on it... lots of errors and i deleted and made a new one.

Measure with the UnrealMan
AS you can see, cabin is just fit the UnrealMan, normal size, in his length and width.








hydraulics
Made a support frame(dont know how it is called properly) with some hydraulics. Iv made it with some bolts... but in total polycount it was more then 1.7kpolys... with the duplicate thing i had over 3k so i deleted bolts. and i will try to make it how you showed us, how to bake it on the model.



Fork
I had reeeeealll trouble with this thing. Spend 5hours making it, because of lack of photos, had to experiment with it... but made something which is looking good now.

Separate parts 
lots of things.
lots of mess.
But constructed and modeled as closely as possible.

Modeling. Week 3

So basically iv started to model my truck.
I had some problems with the front but, i still need to make it more perfect to look.

Iv stated to work on a cabin, it was easy enough to work with.
and so i come up with this:
Well it still needed to be more curvy,
however , it is still in progress.









Some time after iv manage to make the perfect block of my truck and the thing left is to give it a shape of a truck.
Some Details are missing, because iv hided them, just to work on them later.

Truck still need to be shaped more.
Need to add fork, but it will be done in the last moment.




I do like my model, pity that it need more and more work on it.

JCB Loadall 535-140 week 1

Iv choosed this truck to model.
My first thing was, i thought we  could even take lorry, but later Matt said no.
So i was thinking of something more then a digger or escalator. I really didnt want to take the same model as everyone. So i decided to find something more different. Lucky for me i found the perfect truck. Just what i wanted to make. Loadall.

The problem that i had when i was taking these photos is... the road behind me. It was very scary to go on a road to take a full size photo of the side. There were lots of cars :/

Anyway, got some cool shots and iv made approximately 50 photos. Even got some reference for texturing and coloring it.
All my reference i took my self.
Left Side:

Well i havent took the fork photo cuz it was under the container, so i had to make it like this, and i couldnt go back more, because of the wall behind me. So this is the only sized photo i could make












Back:

The back photo is a pain in the ass...
as you can see... tires are spliting and i had problem with modeling the back side, buuuut, iv managed to make it anyway.












Right Side:

Right side photo was perfect, however this is the full size i could take photo... onemore step back and i could be hit by a car :D











And i tried to take some of the front but, i took several pictures, as there was a container that coulnt allow me to take perfect photo of the front side, so i will try to make it real as much as possible.
